Mr. Tawakal Ahmadyar ACCI’s Director-General, Khan Muhammad Sarfaraz Baz head of the secretariate of the board of directors, Sayed Jawid Burhan head of the international relations of the board of directors, Mr. Sherin Agha Sakhi head of the finance of the board of directors, Khan Jan Alokzay, Azarakhash Hafizi, Asmatullah Wardak, Zakaria Baryali, Muhammad Dawood Yousufzay, and Ahmad Zia Azimi Shenozada members of the board of directors, and Mr. Sayed Zaman Hashimi Chief Executive Officer of the ACCI met with the Minister of Commerce and Industry of the country.

Mr. Tawakal Ahmadyar congratulated H.E Nesar Ahmad Faizi Ghoryani for becoming the minister of commerce and industry. He hopes that coordination and cooperation between the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry would help eliminate the existing problems in the Private Sector and the development of the economy of the country.

H.E Nesar Ahmad Faizi Ghoryani welcomed ACCI’s leadership and members of the board of directors and promised to provide the required facilities for the traders and investors of the country. He also insisted that the Ministry of Commerce and Industry is committed to eliminating the existing problems in the Private Sector and to play an active role in the development of the economy of the country.

Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI)'s First Deputy of the board of directors Mr. Muhammad Younus Muhmand met with the president of the tradesmen chamber Mr. Haji Sher Agha in Kandahar Province and had a discussion about the existing problems of the traders and investors of Kandahar Province.

Kandahar tradesmen chamber’s head thanked ACCI for its regular support and cooperation and asked ACCI to help provide legal solutions for the existing problems in the customs of the country.  

After hearing tradesmen’s problems, ACCI’s First Deputy of the board of directors Mr. Muhammad Younus Muhmand said that small entrepreneurship can play an important role in the economic growth of the country and that ACCI is a house for all traders and investors of the country.

He also promised that ACCI would share their problems with the line departments of the government so that to provide legal solutions for their problems.

Mr. Sherin Aghan Sakhi head of the finance of the board of directors and Mr. Sayed Zaman Hashimi Chief Executive Officer of the (ACCI) met the presidents of Laghman and Nangarhar provincial chambers on 10^th/December/2020.

ACCI’s representatives and Laghman provincial chamber’s head had a discussion about the existing problems and activities of the Laghman provincial chamber.

Head of the board of directors of the Laghman provincial chamber Mr. Qudratullah Raheem and CEO of the Laghman provincial chamber Mr. Khan Muhammad Nekbin talked about the activities, achievements, and administrative capacity of the Laghman provincial chamber in details.

ACCI’s CEO Mr. Sayed Zaman Hashimi appreciated the activities and achievements of the Laghman provincial chamber and said that ACCI is committed to further build the capacity of the provincial chambers.

ACCI’s CEO Mr. Sayed Zaman Hashimi and Mr. Sherin Aghan Sakhi head of the finance of the board of directors besides evaluating the Nangarhar provincial chamber’s activities said that ACCI is committed to further build the capacity of the provincial chambers.

Mr. Hashimi said, “To build the capacity of the provincial chambers, ACCI had started implementing some projects but unfortunately due to COVID-19 ACCI was unable to implement these projects however, ACCI is committed to taking effective measures very soon in this regard.”

Head of the finance of the Nangarhar provincial chamber Mr. Muhammad Ismael Rodwal and acting executive director of this chamber suggested a number of things for the betterment and capacity building of this chamber.

ACCI’s CEO says that ACCI will provide full cooperation in resolving their problems and meeting their recommendations.

Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI)’s board of directors Investment Deputy Mr. Sultan Muhammad Safi, Khan Jan Alokozay member of the board of directors, Afghanistan Federation Chamber (ACF)’s Deputy and head of Mines and Industry Mr. Toor Malang Shegiwal, Deputy of Women Chamber Ms. Parwarish Oryakhel, Afghan economy representative Ms. Samina Wadeer, Afghan economic affairs in charge in Islamabad Mr. Bahram Muhammadi, and a number of traders of the country participated in the fifth cycle meeting of the Afghan – Pak Joint Chamber held in Islamabad.  

Sectorial heads of the Pakistani Ministries, headquarter of the Pakistani Customs, Presidents of the Karachi and Torkham ports, representatives of Pakistani parliament and central bank, and Commercial, Industry, and Women Chambers also participated in the aforementioned meeting.

Afghanistan and Pakistan Private Sectors representatives had a discussion about the following issues. (existing commercial and transit problems in Torkham and Ghulam Khan ports, changes in APTTA contract, Afghan trader’s banking problems in Pakistani banks, problems of transactions, the passing problems of the Afghan passengers from Torkham port, the delay of the Afghan merchandize in Pakistan during COVID-19 pandemic, problems in exports, interference of various Pakistani agencies in port affairs, employment of a female representative of the Women Chamber in the board of directors of the Joint Chamber, good relations of both country’s women chambers, and a number of technical problems.)

Pakistani Private Sector’s leadership promised that they would share all the concerning issues with the line departments of the Pakistani Government and will provide the Afghan – Pak Joint Chamber with information about the practical measures of the Pakistani Government.     

During an event, Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI) signed MoU with the Commercial and Investment Association of the country.

Based on this MoU, both sides of the MoU can organize commercial exhibitions and would convince the internal and external investors to invest in Afghanistan.

ACCI’s Policy and Technical Deputy Mr. Shafiqullah Atayee and Commercial and Social Associations head signed this MoU at the end of the event.
