Mr. Sayed Karim Hashemi, Chairman of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI), during his visit to Bamyan Province, led a delegation and laid the foundation stone for a grand mosque in Akhir Village, located within Bamyan City.
The mosque, which will be constructed under the name Hazrat Bilal Grand Mosque, will be built on a two-acre plot of land and will have a capacity of approximately 400 worshippers. The construction cost is estimated at AFN 10–15 million, and the design includes the necessary facilities and amenities for worshippers.
The Chairman of ACCI described the construction of the mosque as important for the residents of Akhir Village and expressed hope that, upon its completion, it will provide the local residents with a suitable and secure place for worship.
Mr. Abdul Nafi Barakzai, Deputy for Domestic Production Support at ACCI, and Board of Directors members Mr. Khalid Majid, Mr. Gul Mir Amini, Mr. Hamidullah Habibi, and Mr. Hewad Baz also attended the foundation-stone laying ceremony.
