The fourth meeting of the Joint Committee on the Establishment of a Joint-Stock Company was held on Saturday evening, with the participation of the presidents of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI) and the Afghanistan Chamber of Industries and Mines, traders, advisers, technical teams, and officials from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.
During the meeting, the legal, administrative, and technical aspects of establishing the joint-stock company were discussed and deliberated. Key issues included the company’s structure and legal personality, registration requirements and procedures, the number of founders and shareholders, preparation of the Articles of Association, determination of capital and shares, and other requirements related to the establishment of the company.
It was initially agreed that, as a first step, 50 united, capable, and trusted traders and investors from the private sector would be selected as the founders of the company. The selection of founders will be based on their investment capacity, commitment, interest, and ability to participate in major economic projects.
It was also agreed that, following the finalization of the company’s legal and technical framework and the confirmation of the initial 50 founders, the authority to decide on increasing the number of shareholders and admitting new shareholders in the future would rest with the company’s founders. Any increase in the number of shareholders would therefore be carried out based on the decision and agreement of the founders.
