Afghan – Finnish Business Council Established in Balkh Province

Afghan – Finnish Business Concil was established in ACCI’s Balkh Provicial Chamber, north of Afghanistan in attending of Mr. Mohammad Zahir Wahdat, Deputy Governor of the province, Mr. Ari Mäki, Finnish Ambassedor to Afghanistan, Board of Directors of Balkh Chamber and Mr. Ghulam Mohammad Payanda, President of the Business Council on 20 May 2014.

Mr. Arash Younusi, Chairman of Balkh Chamber highlighted importance of such business councils in enhancing bilateral trade turnover and addressing the perhaps existing barriers in business relashionshp of two countries. He also hoped the the Business Council will link Balkh province with other Eurpean countries.

Mr. Wahdat hoped that creation of the Business Counicl will be a step forward to better economy for north of Afghanistan and will encourage other Asian and Erupean coutnries to come in Afghaistan.

Mr. Ari Mäki, pledged long term commitment of his country in development of Afghanistan’s economy.

At end of the grand opening, Mr. Payanda received business license of the Council from ACCI.
