ACCI Holds Capacity Building Trainings for Women Entrepreneurs

Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Industries (ACCI) held 8-Day training for women entrepreneurs ACCI members in Kabul and Mazar-e-Sharif provinces in close collaboration with GIZ GIZ-NaWi program by 19th -24th in Mazari-e-Sharif and by 26th-27th April, 2014 in Kabul at ACCI’s Headquarter. The trainings attended by 70 participants from 2 provinces.

The trainings in Mazari-e-Sharif conducted in two phase the first was three days financial management for 30 women entrepreneurs from 19-21 April, 2014 and achieved the following:

  • Business and its type
  • Financial management definition
  • Financial manager’s task
  • Elements of financial management
  • Decision making
  • SWOT and Pest analysis
  • Investment definition and its steps
  • Time value of money
  • Budgeting and its step

And the second were three days business communication training and three days financial management for 25 women entrepreneurs from 22-24 April, 2014 and achieved the following:

  • What is communication
  • Types of communication
  • Communication channels
  • Active listening
  • Feedback giving
  • Questioning techniques
  • Verbal and nonverbal communication
  • Negotiation
  • Steps in negotiation
  • Points to be consider in successful communication
  • Business attitudes
  • Business dressing and appearance
And the training in Kabul conducted in Book Keeping for two days from 26-27 April 2014 for 20 women entrepreneurs and achieved the following:
  • How to do book keeping in business
  • Why to do book keeping in business
  • How to prepare general journal
  • How to record the receipts
  • How to describe book keeping
  • And practical work on book keeping in excel

The capacity building training workshops aimed to enable selected entrepreneurs and private company’s representatives to understand, appreciate and apply financial management, business communication and book keeping in their daily business and improve their business.
