Contracts for 24 Educational Projects Signed 12 December 2009
Contracts for uplift 24 projects, costing 238 millions afghanis,
were signed between Education Minister Dr. Farooq Wardak and
representatives of different construction companies here on
Saturday.

said the projects included 10 schools in Nangarhar, Badakhshan,
Paktia, Ghor, Kunar and Kunduz provinces, two hostels in

added the schemes -- financed by the World Bank, Indian and Danish
governments -- would take one year to complete. The projects are
aimed at providing education facilities for 13,000 students.
